Meet the Design Duo
Here at Divergent Design + Restoration we specialize in the residential restoration and renovation of homes with a dedication to inclusive design. We create tailored project plans for our clients and offer comprehensive services from historical preservation, to modern home updates to bespoke living spaces for the neurodivergent community. Our dedication to providing effective day-to-day solutions not only fosters a more inclusive society, but also promotes empowerment among individuals so they can thrive in their surroundings.
By seamlessly blending the old with the new, we strive to create spaces that honor the history of homes while also meeting the unique needs of each individual. In doing so, we are able to achieve a harmonious balance between preservation and innovation, ultimately producing timeless environments that serve as a bridge between the past and present.
Owners Wyatt Youngblood and Anna Stolarski live in Birmingham, AL with their three dogs and cat. They started their journey together in Detroit, MI where they restored two homes together, but Wyatt has been bringing client’s design and construction visions to life for over 15 years.
After noticing a lack of inclusive design in the construction community, it was an easy decision to start advocating and creating solutions for other individuals with disabilities (Wyatt has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Anna of ADHD). This gives them a unique perspective and the ability to create out-the-box solutions in their construction, design, and restoration.
When they’re not working you’ll find them hanging out with their dogs Tim, Ellie, and Franklin, enjoying the southern sun, listening to records, and planning their next project. There’s always something in the works!
