This project shows what Divergent Design + Restoration is capable of - taking a completely forgotten home and giving it a new life. Throughout the entire process we utilized our expertise in historical restoration techniques to honor the architectural design by removing years of added layers and taking the time to restore original plaster throughout the entire home, restore original door and window hardware, reveled and refinished original pine and maple floors, repaired delicate wood trim, restored original radiator covers, and more. The end result is a breathtaking example of meticulous restoration and renovation with modern touches that showcase our commitment to preserving the character and charm of this timeless Edwardian property. Throughout the project, sustainability was always in the forefront of our minds, even when it came to staging the property. For the final touches, we brought salvaged, restored, and repurposed items to add warmth, illustrating that new isn’t always best when it comes to beautiful design.

We take pride in our workmanship on this 1915 Detroit home and are confident that our efforts will be appreciated for generations to come.
